EMILY RAW shoots artist portraits in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Her work focuses primarily on the nature of image, both picture and persona. It has appeared in Der Greif, The Source, The New Yorker, and elsewhere. Poet Natalie Eilbert says of their collaboration, “Emily Raw does her thing so well I am now a thing.” Eschewing digital post-production techniques for paper, ink, duct tape, and glue, Raw builds installations that, once photographed, read as illustrations.
