EMILY ISAACSON, in addition to working in photography, dabbles in poetry and professes British literature.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Augustana College (Illinois) and graduate degrees from the University of Missouri.  She currently splits her time between the North Country of upstate New York – where her husband teaches creative nonfiction – and Ohio.  Prior to that, she’s lived in various states, including both the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Minnesota. This life of movement means that she’s traveled many roads, the most beautiful of which is US Highway 1 through the Florida Keys.

Her photography has most recently appeared on Midwestern Gothic’s website; her poetry has appeared most recently in New Lit Salon Press’ anthology Southern Gothic: New Tales of the South; and her most recent scholarly work is in the CEA Forum. For work, she teaches literature, and has held appointments at schools in Florida, North Carolina, and most recently, Ohio where she teaches English at Heidelberg University in Tiffin.
