2022 Collaboration Contest

The editors at Sundog are excited for another year of our annual Collaboration Contest! From July 15 to August 31, we’re looking for writing teams of two or more people to submit their fiercest story, poem, essay, or hybrid piece of 1,000 words or less (1 poem, story, essay, or whatever you call it per entry). We also welcome a collaboration between writers and visual artists!

Entries will be read anonymously (please do not include identifying information on your entry documents or risk disqualification), and we ask that you submit only one poem, story, or essay per entry.

Contest Fee & Payment
If money is a barrier, please submit one piece for free. If you can, we’d suggest a $3 contest fee. Winners will be published in our spring issue, out in March 2023, and split a $300 prize and the eternal fulfillment that comes with publication.

Fee: $3 (if you can)
Award: $300
Deadline: August 31
Genre: Any
Length: 1,000 words or less (1 story, poem, or essay per entry)
Simultaneous Submissions? Yes, but please withdraw immediately if your piece (even just a part of it) has been accepted elsewhere.
Multiple Submissions? Yes (1 entry fee per piece)
